Honeymoon or Vacationing Philippines: Camiguin Island All Inclusive Holiday Resorts

What could be better than to honeymoon or vacation on an unspoiled tropical island with varied eco-systems that not only rivals with being in any other similar location for a fraction of the cost, but with many additional unique features as well? Camiguin Island is the second smallest Island Province in the Republic of the Philippines and is quite focused on its ideal qualities as a low-key, fascinatingly beautiful and all inclusive,
friendly, destination tourist spot. It is known as the “Island Born of Fire” since its lush landscape includes several volcanic mountains rising up from numerous white sand beaches between sleepy fishing villages as well 100 other smaller volcanic features here on the Pacific “Ring of Fire.” But it might also be called a playground for adventurers since it offers so much to do for active vacationers.
Like to go on a zip-line? Or how about visiting a Giant Clam sanctuary, an Ostrich farm or a Mangrove Park? Why not rent a motorbike and spending the day exploring Spanish ruins, the Sunken Cemetery (which disappeared into the sea during an 1871 eruption) and the many enticing beaches with swaying coconut palms and untouched coastline around the island’s 64 kilometer (40 miles) perimeter road? The ever-changing shape of White Island, an uninhabited white sand bar a few hundred meters off the coast, is accessible by boatmen always at the ready for a small fee.  Visiting Camiguin puts visitors amidst the Southeast Asian culture of the friendly, generously helpful and commonly English-speaking Filipino people while also immersing one in the history of 350 years of Spanish colonialism, bringing exuberant, colorful fiestas to an island blessed with hot springs, roaring waterfalls and amazing diving opportunities in crystal clear blue waters. If you’re a diver or snorkeler or you’ve wanted to try, there’s no better place to get started and check out green sea turtles, painted frogfish, peacock mantis shrimp or hydroid decorator crabs at one of the numerous marine sanctuaries surrounding the island. Many astoundingly simple yet especially charming resorts and accommodations abound, but it’s nearly impossible to find any for over $100 US, and during low season nice rooms at the beach in small boutique-type resorts can be had for as little as $25 at current exchange rates for that once in a lifetime honeymoon or vacation event.
The Republic of the Philippines is in the category of “developing” nations whose residents live mostly below anyone’s marker of poverty, often in squalid, crowded conditions. And, considering it is a nation of over 7,000 islands, it is remarkable that Camiguin is as notable as it is. This is partly because of its fortuitous location, at a distance and uncorrupted from crowded, noisy and aggressive metropolises as well as hordes of tourists. It also might stem from the many visitors who seem to have kept this jewel as guarded as a little secret of their own.
Daily air flights from the international entry points of Manila and Cebu are available for little over $50 US roundtrip and ferries also ply the waters daily from neighboring islands of Bohol and Mindanao.
